Goodreads

Goodreads

How is Folinq different from Goodreads?
Goodreads largely starts with the book.
You discover a title, read it, rate it, review it, and add it to your shelf.
Folinq starts with the creator.
You don’t need to have a published book to have a voice or a presence on Folinq.
Writers, poets, translators, journalists, critics, researchers, playwrights, screenwriters, and other creative minds can publish their own work and build an audience around what they create.
On Goodreads, the experience is primarily centered around books that already exist.
On Folinq, the experience is centered around the people creating what comes next.
Folinq isn’t only a place to say:
“What have I read?”
It’s a place to show:
“What have I written? What have I created? What do I think?”
Your profile can become part of your creative identity a place to publish work, follow others, be followed, find readers, build connections, and grow your presence.
Goodreads is about books.
Folinq is about the people creating tomorrow’s books, poems, essays, ideas, and stories.
www.Folinq.com where audiences discover creators.

Folinq for Publishers because great works deserve an audience beyond borders.
Folinq for Publishers: When Geography Shouldn’t Define the Reach of a Work
How does an international publisher introduce a newly released book, music album, or art collection to Persian-speaking audiences?
And on the other side, how can an Iranian publisher take a work released in Tehran, Shiraz, or Isfahan and place it in front of an interested reader, listener, or collector in Berlin, Toronto, London, or New York?
The challenge is not simply translation.
It is being discovered by the right audience.
Cultural works have more potential than ever to travel globally, yet the path between a published work and the people most likely to appreciate it remains fragmented.
Publisher websites, social networks, online stores, media outlets, and advertising platforms each solve part of the problem. What is still missing is a space designed around the direct connection between creators, publishers, works, and interested communities.
Folinq is being built to shorten that distance.
On Folinq, a publisher does not have to mean only a book publisher.
It can be:
a book or magazine publisher,
a music label,
an audio or podcast publisher,
a publisher or representative of visual arts,
or any cultural organization bringing creative works to new audiences.
A work begins its global journey when the right audience is finally able to discover it.
www.Folinq.com for Publishers.
Publish locally. Be discovered globally.

Folinq is a philosophy.

Your mind is busy. Your feed is even busier.

But have you ever stopped to ask what today’s social networks—LinkedIn, Instagram, and the rest—are actually doing to your attention, your creativity, and ultimately, your life?

These are some of their most serious flaws:

1. The algorithm decides what deserves your attention.
You may think you are choosing what to see. Most of the time, the platform is choosing for you.

2. Good content has an absurdly short lifespan.
A thoughtful piece of writing can effectively disappear within hours.

3. Likes have become a substitute for value.
Gradually, creators stop asking, “Is this worth saying?” and start asking, “Will this get likes?”

4. Human identity is flattened into a single dimension.
If you are an engineer, you are expected to talk about engineering. Write a poem, share humor, or publish a literary reflection, and suddenly it is considered “unprofessional.”

But humans are not job titles.

5. Networking is often artificial.
Thousands of people connect, follow, and add one another without ever forming a meaningful relationship.

6. A large following does not mean a real audience.
You may have 10,000 followers while only 30 people genuinely read what you create.

7. Great content is surprisingly difficult to rediscover.
Search and discovery systems are often terrible at resurfacing valuable, older, specialized work.

8. Your personal archive is practically broken.
Try finding something you wrote two years ago. Sometimes locating your own work becomes a project in itself.

9. Content rarely becomes a coherent body of work.
Writing, photographs, audio, files, and video sit beside one another—but rarely evolve into a structured, meaningful work.

10. Platforms reward more, not better.
The system keeps whispering:
“Post again.”

Almost never:
“Take what you created and make it better.”

11. Social bubbles quietly narrow your world.
Over time, you increasingly see people who think, behave, and believe like you do.

12. Metrics are engineered to become addictive.
Views. Likes. Comments. Followers.
Soon, people begin checking the numbers more often than thinking about the work itself.

13. Shallow content has a distribution advantage.
A provocative sentence, an empty slogan, or complete nonsense can outperform years of serious thought simply because it is easier to consume and easier to spread.

14. The relationship between a creator’s works disappears.
You see what someone wrote today, but you rarely understand how it connects to something they published three years ago.

15. Popularity is mistaken for credibility.
Follower counts and engagement statistics tell you very little about intellectual, artistic, scientific, or professional authority.

16. Your visibility belongs to the platform.
Change the algorithm, and years of accumulated reach can collapse overnight.

17. People are forced to keep producing just to remain visible.
Not everyone wants to become a permanent content machine.

Some people simply want to read.
To learn.
To discover.
To follow an idea.

And that should be perfectly valid.

18. Most interactions remain painfully shallow.
“Great post.”
“Totally agree.”
“Thanks for sharing.”

Thousands of interactions. Very little conversation.

19. Leaving is deliberately difficult.
Downloading, reorganizing, moving, or reclaiming years of your own content is often unnecessarily complicated.

You created it.

Yet somehow, leaving with it feels like asking permission.

20. Social networks eventually become media machines and advertising loudspeakers.
The user believes they are choosing what deserves attention.

In reality, the platform increasingly decides what gets placed in front of them.

And this leads to the fundamental problem:

The definition of success for most social networks is simple:
keep you there longer.

More scrolling.
More posts.
More reactions.
More minutes of your life.

Folinq is built around a different definition of success.

That you discover something valuable.

That you find the right person.

That the right person discovers your work.

That your ideas remain connected, searchable, structured, and alive.

And then—perhaps—you close Folinq and get on with your life.

Because your time is more valuable than our engagement statistics.

Folinq is not merely another social network.

Folinq is a philosophy.

And if that philosophy means nothing to you, Folinq may simply not be for you.

View، Like، Comment، Follower...
